The most rewarding part of photographing women
So far, I have photographed 8 of the 40 women, over age 40, that I plan to photograph this year. Every experience has been so unique, so special. I never expected to connect so deeply with all the women I photograph. I did expect a lot of smiles and laughter but not expect the tears. The emotion. The vulnerability.
I should start marketing these shoots as a mini therapy session rolled into a portrait session! Women leave my studio not only feeling more confident, but feeling seen and heard. Women are leaving and feeling themselves again.
Portrait sessions are not just for pretty photos, ladies. They are a private place designed for you. A place you can come as you are, feel a little pampered, and be yourself. It has only been a few months but man, the stories I hear shared already warm my heart!
I appreciate all of you women, those who are brave enough to get in front of the camera. Those of you still thinking about it. Those of you who arrive, ready to bare all and expose yourself (physically and emotionally). Those of you who are timid and shy and eventually come out of your comfort zone. I can see the changes over our time together!
